Czech Twin vs. Czech Superduo
Czech Twin beads were the original two-hole seed beads. They are made from drawn glass in either crystal or black glass as the base, with coatings applied to give the beads their color. They are 2.5 x 5mm puffy oval in shape, but because they are made from drawn, not pressed glass, they are not consistent in size or shape.
Czech Superduo beads are made from pressed colored glass. They are 2.5mm at their center by 5mm, with a slight peak between the holes. Because they are made of pressed glass, are very consistent in size and shape. Superduos are available in many colors.
What is a Rizo® Bead?
Rizo® beads were designed by master seed bead artist and author, Sabine Lippert. Manufactured in the Czech Republic, Rizo® beads are shaped like a grain of rice (2.5 x 6mm), with a hole at one end. They are smaller than baby daggers, but thinner and longer than drops.
June Design Du Jour
Join us on Saturday, June 15th, between 11am and 2 pm for our monthly Design Du Jour workshop. We'll be creating a stylish Chain Tassel Necklace. Learn to make an easy tassel out of chain combined with accent beads and leather. There is no cost for the workshop, and the approximate cost for materials is $10. No need to register, just stop in!

Other offerings from Let’s Bead!
FREE workshops once a month. We call these our “Designs du Jour”, and they are usually held on the third Saturday of every month. There is no need to register for the workshop. Just stop in between the hours of 11am and 2pm and make the project of the day. You pay only for the supplies you use. It’s a great way to try a new technique or to learn some helpful hints.!
FREE patterns. We have several designs on display in the store. When you buy the materials for the project, we give you the pattern.
